Brief
Develop a visual identity for an Indonesian investment advisory startup that feels professional, trustworthy, human, and sincere. The development of the brand's visual identity will then be followed by the development of their website, through thoughtful storytelling and user-centred design.

Recompound's new visual identity reflects the company's core values—aligned, grounded, human, and trustworthy. The refreshed identity builds on Recompound's foundation & professional tone, while bringing in warmth and friendliness through illustrations, casual voice, and relatable mascots.

Recompound is an Indonesian investment advisory startup focused on long-term investing in local stocks. Built on the belief that investing should be honest and accessible, their business model aligns their success with their clients', charging a fee only when clients make a profit or hit an all time high.
Their advisory services are deeply personal—clients are onboarded into dedicated WhatsApp groups where they receive tailored stock recommendations, ongoing support, and honest conversations from a responsive, human team.
With a growing reputation & strong track record, Recompound needed a visual identity that reflects the team’s credibility, humility, and human-first approach.

Recompound didn’t want to look like a typical investment firm. In a space often filled with hype, jargons, and big promises, they wanted to stand out by being honest and humble.
The brand needed to feel visually distinct without coming across as flashy or boastful, and designed to build trust from the very first impression. When it comes to storytelling, their goal was to provide easy-to-understand information and remove as much doubt as possible before clients even reached out.

Recompound's final visual identity was built around four core values developed throughout the project—aligned, grounded, human, and trustworthy—through a brand experience that feels both fresh and familiar.
Key elements from the original brand, such as the primarily teal colour palette and logo, were retained to maintain recognition and trust among existing clients. Visually, the identity balances personality and professionalism through clean, hand-drawn-style illustrations that resemble thoughtful doodles. A pair of mascots also help turn complex investment ideas more relatable, as they add warmth and storytelling capabilities to the brand. Even its tone of voice is intentionally casual and human, designed to speak with clarity, not complexity.
With this refreshed identity, Recompound feels less like a financial institution and more like a trusted, investment-savvy friend—approachable, supportive, and easy to talk to.
